Speech Therapy and Language Therapy Can Help Children
Speech therapy and language therapy can help children who have difficulty with any area of communication. Baron Therapy Services, LLC is dedicated to providing quality speech therapy and language therapy to patients in Connecticut. Communicating is essential as it is the foundation for interacting and engaging in our society. Communicating allows children to express their needs, wants, thoughts and ideas with others. It also enables children to understand and connect with others. When there is a breakdown in the natural development of speech and/or language in children and they have difficulty communicating, the effects can be devastating. Our therapists are specialists and expert at providing evaluations, speech therapy, and language therapy for children in Connecticut. These clinicians are trained to work with the full range of human communication and related disorders.
Speech therapy and language therapy are related, but work on improving different skills. If your child has difficulty communicating, our speech-language pathologists can determine if the problem is due to a speech deficit, a language delay or disorder, or both. Read more about the difference between speech and language in our Parent’s Guidebook.
The first step in providing effective therapy is to diagnose the communication disorder. Treatment is different for each problem. Not all therapy approaches are used for all communication disorders. Proper diagnosis is the foundation for successful treatment.
